3 months later, after months of nearly no word on the status of PS4 mods after the initial delay, Bethesda released this statement today (September 9th, 2016) explaining the situation with PS4 mods: 'After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition. Bethesda stated they were working with Sony to get it sorted it. Just before PS4 mod support was due to be released for Fallout 4, it was inexplicitly delayed due to unexplained issues. In June 2016, Bethesda announced mod support would be coming on PS4 for Fallout 4, and the yet to be released Skyrim: Special Edition.
